This is Clip 9 from the Twentieth Archive release of our stock footage. This clip shows two lightning strikes caught in a loop. I decided not to add sound. I normally try not to alter an image much, but when I saw this looped clip I new I had to post it. This footage is from my personal collection. I have tried to organize these clips with titles and countdowns so they are easier to use. COMMENT: I am releasing these Stock footage Clips for free so that editors who can't afford footage will...

I was playing around in After Effects the other day and came across it's ability to visualize audio in a waveform. I grabbed a clip I had with some music in it, and I processed it through the program. It's a great feature to use if anyone has AE available to them. Otherwise, feel free to download and use mine instead. In November, 1940, the newly completed Tacoma Narrows Bridge, opened barely four months before, swayed and collapsed in a 42 mile-per-hour wind. There were no casualties except a dog trapped in a car stranded on the bridge. A rescue was attempted (by the man with the pipe), but the frightened animal would not leave the car. The site was declared a National Historic Landmark to discourage relic seekers and salvage operations. The whole films can be found at:...

This is the last scene in Edwin S. Porter's "The Great Train Robbery," when the leader of the outlaws, played by Justus D. Barnes, empties his pistol at the audience. It cause quote a fright in theaters because no one had seen anything like it before.
